TLD CRM BoostPatch 10.5.0

Patch 10.5.0

TLDSIP – WebRTC Updates

We’ve taken a pass at the core WebRTC Module for TLDCRM and have made some changes to hopefully overcome some edge-case connection issues experienced with Spectrum Routers, and T-Mobile Home Internet. We were able to test and successful connect on our own Sample T-Mobile Home Internet router successfully with two way audio.

What we did:

  1. Hardened our STUN/TURN Integration to be very specific about order of ICE Servers ( No, not that ICE )
  2. Fixed and Tested some issues with TURN and TLS.
  3. Experimenting with hosting our own Coturn Service (STUN/TURN) with TLS Support, which works and will be deployed in a future patch.

TLDSIP – Audio Meter

The Audiometer and Audiometer Section has been rebuilt with a more modern methodology as the old method was deprecated and eventually would stop working. We also made it more Processor / Browser efficient so we can show the Audiometer even while on a call. If you click the Audio Meter Icon it will stop the Audio Meter temporarily. This doesn’t save on every login so it’s only for that session.

What was changed

  1. The Audio Meter Icon now stays active even after connecting to TLDialer
    1. You can pause the Audio Meter by clicking the Audio Meter Icon
  2. The Audio Meter is now more efficient and up to date.

TLDSIP – Audio Chooser

This feature was a long time coming, you can now verify and change the Audio Device on TLDialer. You will notice that the Audio Meter now has Text Over it describing the Device you have connected. Clicking that Text will open a drop down menu to allow you to change them in real time without relogging. For the microphone this will both bind your call if active and your audio meter to the newly selected microphone. For the speakers it will only bind your call as the speaker is not used by the audio meter.

What’s new?

  1. Clicking the Audio Meter itself will drop down a Menu with an Audio Device Chooser for both Speaker and Microphone
    1. Note: For Firefox, the speaker is always the system speaker you cannot change it dynamically.
  2. Changing an Audio Devices Saves your Current Browser Preference for later use
    1. Logging out and back in should have your currently selected device.
  3. You can now Change your Output Device
    1. If you have logged into TLDialer, it should change your Output Audio to the new Device, even if on a call.
    2. Except on Firefox
  4. You can now Change your Input Device
    1. If you have logged into TLDialer, it should change your Input Audio to the new Device, even if on a call.

We hope you enjoy this update! We hope to see a lot less “headset” issues as a result, though exclusive mode still continue to be an issue in some cases.

TLDialer – Cleanup

We cleaned up some of the internals of TLDialer including adding a new Status to attempt to reconnect if you are still logged in and lost your session. This may recover a call in case the system “clicks” and the local call to the Dialer disconnects.

Note

While we do have Front end code-busting in place, in some cases your cache may not refresh. If you are having issues please clear cache and cookies.
