TLDSIP Change Request Protocol

To expedite changes to your dialplan and phone system, please address the following items when requesting changes.

Phone System Changes

The more information you provide for any change, the better and faster we can implement it without having to clarify what you mean. We want to help you, fast!
Taking a few minutes to explain could save hours or days of a back-and-forth!

DIDs

  • Full DID number
  • Label to appear on inbound call (in TLDSIP/softphone)
  • Who should it ring? Does it go to a queue? (See Queues)
  • What happens if no one answers?
    • Ring another queue?
    • An extension?
    • Voicemail? (See Voicemail)
    • Hang up?

Queues

  • Is this a new/existing queue?
    • What is its name?
  • Who should be called? (a list with each extension on a unique line is most helpful)
    • 1001
    • 1002
    • 9001

IVRs

  • Is this a new/existing IVR?
    • What is its name?
  • What DID(s) is this IVR serving?
  • What options are there? For each option answer the same way you would a DID except with the option number instead of DID number (See DIDs).

Extensions

  • Do you need more extensions?
    • Which extension block?
    • Mention any customizations.
  • Do not request an extension be removed from queues, update the entire queue (or queues) instead.
  • What options are there?
    • For each option answer the same way you would a DID except with the option number instead of DID number (See DIDs).

Voicemail

  • Is this a new/existing mailbox?
    • What is its custom mailbox number, if any?
    • What extension/DID is this mailbox for?
  • Who should be emailed?
  • Should we keep a copy to access from the phone system or delete them?
    • Access info will be given on request.
    • You can delete messages via the interactive menu.
